ENGLISH 2308 READING SCHEDULE | SPRING 2013
Eighty percent of success is showing up.
--Woody Allen
This schedule is subject to additions and/or deletions. Any changes will be announced in advance, in class. Students are responsible for finding out about any changes to this syllabus that may be announced when absent from the class. We will take up the assigned readings on the designated date, unless otherwise indicated.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The student must have the entire text read for the date that the text is first assigned on the schedule. This means, that when the student comes to class on 22 January 2013, the entire essay, "A Modest Proposal" has been read and the student is ready to be quizzed on it, and is prepared to discuss the text in class discussions. Equally important is that the student must always bring that assigned text to class. Thus, on 22 January 2013, the student brings to class his or her copy of "A Modest Proposal". This means that the student comes to class with that day's assigned text.
